Helen James

Helen, the seamstress extraordinaire is a tireless member of the local performing arts scene. Most dance studios, and dance mums alike, have her on speed dial. Spending the majority of her career as a well-respected teacher at a local primary school, Helen hasn’t really taken to “retirement”. Most days she can be found in the sewing room creating, hemming, fixing, altering and piecing together a multitude of costumes. Knowing most young performers in the area by name, the time and effort she gives to each and every child leaves them all feeling special and important.

Helen’s favourite musical to watch is Les Mis, but to costume it would be the Little Mermaid or The Lion King.
